“Oh, Astrobot, why can't I find a MAN as good as YOU?”
Here the biggest influence is Wally Wood, who did fantastic sci fi art for the excellent EC Comics titles of the 1950’s, like Weird Science. The spacesuit and helmet are in homage to Wood, but there is also some influence from Gil Elvgren pin up art.
