“Ro-bot...tur-ning...ON!”

Robots falling in love with humans is a common theme in science fiction. Scarlet Witch has Vision. However, usually it doesn't end well. Examples are Saturn 3 with Kirk Douglas and Farrah Fawcett, and the 1980 movie Android, a gem if you like low budget, darker themed sci fi movies from the 80’s. Check the Star Trek episode “Requiem for Methuselah”.
My favourite example might be from Space Battle Cruiser Yamato (aka Starblazers), season 1 in 1974. When Analyser fell in love with Nova, and he realized it could never be, he told her it was alright, because “there's nothing wrong with loving someone”, even if it doesn't work out. It may be painful, but I think there is some wisdom in that.
